Packing Our Bags and Heading Up North

The Borrowed Babes Are on the Move...
Well, I am anyway. To Newport, Rhode Island. Home of swanky people, Taylor Swift's summer home and lots of fabulous summer posts by Olivia Culpo.
For the next few weeks, you'll see a few less posts while we take this show on the road up North for a temporary relocation. As you've read in previous posts, my husband is in the Navy. Which means we are consistently on the move. Although we've been in Jacksonville for what seems like FOREVER NOW, we have to move on to bigger and better things. Although I'm sad, it's a great career move for my husband so it will be an exciting new change of work for him and for our lives. (And long haired dog. Everyone will be happy with the weather change here except me.)
Don't Get me Started
I LOVE JACKSONVILLE. I have only cried about this maybe 78 times. Which, I think is totally reasonable. ;-) We met here. We went on our first date here. We got swindled into adopting this monster of a dog here. Some of our best friends are here. We bought our first house here. You know...all the big things happened here and now we are on the move to someplace different. But I'll miss everything and everyone here. A LOT.
Heck, we even did a whole post about how much we stinking love living here!!! Have you ever read it? LOL If not, check out the Find Your Jax website here and read our article.
Do You Want to Build a Snowman?
If you don't know this about Newport, it's cold there. REAL COLD. And we're the bright folks moving in the winter. On the bright side, it's only temporary and some of our best friends will be our neighbors again. I'll also get to do a little more creatively styled shoots considering I can wear more than two articles of clothing without dying of a heat stroke. I have an entire section of my closet that shall reappear in my life and I'll have to invest in pants that don't have holes and actually cover my entire leg, but hey, that's life.
I'll Be Back
You'll still see lots of Jacksonville action, though. As you know, I work for a fabulous designer based here in Jacksonville. We have several events on the horizon and in 2018 that require my presence (well maybe they don't but I asked that they do). I will be traveling back and forth for work and to visit family and I'm excited.
Keep In Touch
Make sure to follow along our travels over the next few weeks on my Insta Stories. You can see the shenanigans that will unfold and help me pick out my new winter wardrobe as I shop for closed toe, functional shoes and coats that do more than look pretty. Also, say a prayer for us. There is a higher than likely chance we end up suffocating each other after going from so much alone time to TOTAL l together time. HAH!
XOXO,
Stephanie
