Meet Santa this Saturday at the St. Johns Town Center Holiday Spectacular
You're Invited!
St. Johns Town Center Holiday Spectacular
Let the Holiday Season Begin!
I know, I know...it's not even Thanksgiving yet. If you feel that way about the holidays then just get off of this page, because I am having none of that nonsense over here. I. LOVE. THE. HOLIDAYS. And Sorry, I'm not sorry that I like to celebrate for longer than 25 days. Or two weeks. Or whatever you grinches feel is an acceptable time frame for holiday shenanigans.
Treat Everyday Like Christmas
So how do I kick off the holidays each year? I know it's Christmas on my calendar after that BIG fancy tree at the St. Johns Town Center is all LIT up and ready for visitors. Which means, this weekend is the start of my holiday season!
Jacksonville friends, make plans to join me and some other fabulous people at the St. Johns Town Center Holiday Spectacular.
The St. Johns Town Center Holiday Spectacular is one of my favorite events in Jacksonville every year BECAUSE I AM A HOLIDAY JUNKIE and it's one you don't want to miss. Events start at 2 pm and it's fun for the entire family.
Santa, I Know Him!
Although Elf himself has yet to make an appearance at the St Johns Town Center Holiday Spectacular, we're joined this year by Elvis Duran and the Morning Show personality Garrett and Jesse McCartney. (YES, Your teeny bopping boy band dreams are coming true.) ALSO, my girl Catalina from 97.9 KISS FM and the But First, Brunch podcast will be there giving him the assist on the mic. ;-) Events are free for the whole family, start at 2 pm, and end with a concert, holiday songs, Santa's arrival, the gorgeous tree lighting, and fireworks.
Buddy The Elf, What's Your Favorite Color?
No, this is not my first rodeo. My family and I attend the St Johns Town Center Holiday Spectacular every year and always have a blast. If you have young ones who can't stay out as late, no worries. Bring them in the afternoon to try out some of the fun festivities but know patience is a virtue.
Yes, it will be busy.
Yes, you'll have to spend more than .8 seconds to park.
And yes, there will be a crowd of other festive folks.
BUT. IT'S. SO. WORTH. IT.
(Btw, if parking and walking is an issue there are several easy solutions. 1) The Town Center has valet. Use it. They rock. 2) They also have shuttles. I'm dropping a link to the shuttle information here. If you feel like you've parked so far and can't walk to the middle area where the tree is located, then call them. They will come and pick you up. FOR FREE. I'm serious. Call 904.610.9182.)
Light It Up
One little-known fact about me is my love for the Elvis Duran and the Morning show on 97.9 KISS FM. For the last few years, one of their hosts has joined us in Jacksonville for the fun. We have an annual Fireball tradition and it will continue this year. You don't have to join this tradition. It's just a purse smuggle I started two years ago because I hope to make Elvis my BFF for life.
Holiday Style
If you want to come out and join the fun at the St Johns Town Center Holiday Spectacular, all holiday attire is accepted. Get decked out in your fun festive gear and join the party.
What to Wear at the St Johns Town Center Holiday Spectacular
If you're into fashion and wondering about the attire for today's festive events...it's festive casual. I always dress up just a little because it's what I do, but wear what makes you happy and comfortable. Or arrive a few minutes early, survey the crowd and pop into your favorite Town Center store to grab something new to fit the vibe. (Listen, you're here. I'll show you how to spend money. No problem. Insert the cash money eye emoji here.)
