Why am I always so moody lately? Oh...maybe because it's rainy and cold and that's my least favorite combo. I'm like an angry cat most of the time. Except when wearing this dress.

A little rain won't stop this dress parade...
It may be hard to tell because Kelly Martucci is such a BADASS photographer, but it is pouring rain in these pictures. You can probably get an inkling of an idea based on the frizz level of my unruly mane, but outside of that, the only real evidence is the haze in the background. Gotta love Kelly!
Why Shop Local
Jacksonville, Jacksonville Beach and its surrounding areas have so many awesome shops, locally owned boutiques, and unique stores that if you are not spending some of your free nights and weekends shopping their racks then you are truly missing out. One of my Jax Beach favorites is located at The Beaches Town Center (an outdoor shopping area where you can shop, booze and eat!) - Drift Boutique.

I had the honor of working with these babes a couple months back for the Dreams Come True Fashion Show at Hotel Palms and I fell in love with their chill vibe, amazing decor, and even better selections. (And get this...if you are not always in Jax, much like me, you can still browse their shop virtually by shopping online and ordering for pick up in store or delivery straight to your door...beat that Amazon!)
Why I Love this Dress
Ahhh...seriously this is one of my favorite purchases I've made in a long time. For reference, I am wearing a size large (because I ordered it online for in-store pickup) but I may have been able to wear a medium. It is flowy, so initially I was worried that it would look too big, but it just goes with the flow. (HAHA...I'm such a solid joke writer...I know.) In the large, I have a little extra wiggle room in the waist and hip area, so I think after wearing it a few times and getting my butt to the gym a little extra, I probably could have sized down. BUT this oversize fit also contributes to why I love it. I can wear this at night and still look HOT but have plenty of room for FOOD and BOOZE. JACKPOT.
This dress also has all of my favorite go to elements...a plunging neck line, pockets, high-low hem, an option to tie, and ruffles. Other notables: Green and any shade of green are my fall back colors when I can't decide another color other than black to wear, so this lovely shade of olive worked perfectly for my fair skin and green eyes. The polka dot print is, as usual at some point every year, fairly on trend so this dress really hit all the marks. In addition, it is lightweight and breathable so even when the dead of summer finally hits I can still wear it and not look like a sweaty hot mess...at least not more than I usually do.
The dress is made by Kivari. I had not ever worn anything made by them, as they are based in Australia, but am now a huge fan and creep on their Insta and the new arrivals at Drift on the regular.
