Shop Private Party - A Pop Culture Junkie's Dream
Carpool Karaoke fan? Leo fan? What about J-Lo? James Cordon anyone?
Here's the deal...I'ma sucker for graphic tees. Everyone that knows me knows this. My husband knows this. In fact, he wishes I would knock off the graphic tee shopping and wearing, but we all know there is a more than distinct possibility I will request to be buried in some stupid tee shirt that references a pop culture moment in time that only I still find funny years later.
This shirt is one of those examples. First of all, I'm clearly not the only person that found this one clip so funny that I wanted it on a shirt to wear forever and ever amen. I mean this isn't a custom top. It was made by a company who still sells it to this day. Now how many have they sold in total is another question in itself. But really, I don't care. I've never been a follower. I'm a leader of graphic tees. A leader in the sense I wear them in inappropriate settings against all better judgment. :-)
Here's the backstory...pretty much everyone in America has heard of Carpool Karaoke with James Cordon. It's fabulous and funny and catchy. For me, one of my favorite episodes will always be with Jennifer Lopez. In the segment, linked below, James Cordon asks her about celebrity numbers in her phone book...who is the most famous celeb in her phone book. Although she plays it cool for a moment, she starts flipping through her list. James grabs the phone and asks her if he can text one person from her phone and immediately settles on Leo without hesitation. (As I would have too...because Leo.) Thinking it would go without a response, they are both caught off guard when HE IMMEDIATELY RESPONDS: The conversation went as follows...
J Lo's Phone: "Hey baby. I'm kind of feeling like cutting loose tonight. Any suggestions? J-Lo...you know from the block."
Leo's Phone: "You mean tonight boo boo, club wise?"
AND BOOM...my favorite conversation of all time.
If you haven't seen it, click here. I've linked you to the portion of the segment where they start talking numbers, but the entire thing is totally worth watching.
Anyways back to the outfit...
One might think this shirt lacks versatility, but you are wrong. I've worn it way too many times to count. I've paired it with leather, denim, blazers, skirts, etc. For this particular post I'm sharing a recent pairing for a brunch outing with one of my favorite people in Jacksonville! We enjoyed my dumb tee and bottomless mimosas at one of our favorite brunch locations, Blue Fish in Avondale.
If you'd like to grab the details from the outfit, scroll below. Trust us...once you land on the Shop Private Party website you will be hooked. They are one of my favorite kitschy online retailers. They carry so many fun, unique items. It's perfect for birthdays, concerts, bachelorette outings, etc. Click here to shop their full site, but we will link you direct to the Boo Boo tee below.
