Also, we still call it "The World's Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party" - We will not be calling it "The River City Showdown"
Who even came up with that name? Y'all know we Love JAX more than most, but somebody help them. That name won't stick. It got washed down the River in all the other bad ideas that we've tried to make stick. Let's hope jorts got washed away with. (We're talking bad jorts...not stylish, trendy ones. We're talking jorts your dad wore to pick you up in second grade with his high top Reeboks. Those all need to go. And the mullets. Take those too.)
UPDATED Oct. 27, 2016 For those who actually read this and cared - I worked in Marketing and PR in Jacksonville and got the low down on the name "The River City Showdown" and it was not anything the city of Jacksonville, The Jax Sports Council, the Chamber, Visit Jax or any awesome company helping build our city had anything to do with...so let's find whoever started that and tell them to knock it off...I digress.
